The rivalry between Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman keeps boiling ahead of WWE Backlash, and now Heyman has claimed his former ally will be “useless” after his upcoming match with Bron Breakker.
The issues between Rollins and Heyman have been growing for many months. Breakker has become the main enforcer for Heyman’s group, The Vision, which was once led by Rollins. But he got betrayed by Heyman and Breakker, and the rest is history.
Paul Heyman predicts brutal outcome for Seth Rollins at WWE Backlash
During an appearance on ESPN, Heyman spoke about Rollins’ upcoming match against Bron Breakker at Backlash on May 9, 2026. According to Heyman, Rollins has no chance of winning.
“Seth Rollins is useless after his match with Braun Breaker,” Heyman said.
He then praised Breakker for being the “future” of WWE.
When asked what fans should expect from the upcoming match between Rollins and Breakker, Heyman said, “You can see Bron Breaker be the most physical athlete inside the ring in WWE since the retirement of Brock Lesnar.”
The rivalry goes back to the fallout from WrestleMania 41, when Rollins created The Vision with Heyman, Breakker, and Bronson Reed. At first, the group dominated RAW.
Everything changed after Crown Jewel in late 2025. Rollins beat Cody Rhodes, but the very next night on RAW, Breakker shocked fans by attacking him and kicking him out of the faction he started.
Later, Heyman revealed that he planned the betrayal. According to him, the Visionary had become weak and too focused on controlling people. The faction then shifted its attention toward making Breakker and Reed the future of WWE.
Behind the scenes, Rollins also stepped away for a while to recover from a real shoulder injury. When he returned at Elimination Chamber earlier this year, he came back wearing a mask and attacking members of The Vision.
Since then, things have only gotten more violent.
In the recent episodes of RAW, Breakker has hit Rollins with some brutal spears. At the same time, The Vision has grown its presence by adding Logan Paul and Austin Theory to the group. The two currently hold the World Tag Team Championships, as they continue to stamp their authority on the WWE landscape.
