Seth Rollins Makes Emotional Return To AAW After 15 Years

Seth Rollins made a surprise return to AAW Wrestling after more than 15 years. The appearance happened at the Berwyn Eagles Club, which is hosting its final wrestling shows this weekend.

Rollins has a long history with AAW and the Berwyn Eagles Club. Between 2005 and 2010, he had 36 matches there and became one of the promotion’s top stars. His last match at the venue before this return was in 2010 at “Defining Moment,” where he teamed with Jimmy Jacobs.

During his time in AAW, he won the Heavyweight Championship twice and the Tag Team titles twice as well.

Seth Rollins appears as Tyler Black at final Berwyn Eagles Club show

Rollins, who was known as Tyler Black earlier in his career, opened AAW’s “Crush & Destroy” event and got a huge reaction. His WWE theme music played first, but fans started chanting “Tyler Black,” which brought back memories from his early days.

The night was emotional because the Berwyn Eagles Club is saying goodbye to wrestling. It has been an important venue for indie wrestling for many years. The decision came after a fake stabbing incident in March involving a fight between performers and a fan. However, the venue still has its license; it just won’t host wrestling anymore.

For Rollins, this return meant a lot. He told the crowd he couldn’t miss such a special moment. He spoke about how much he loves wrestling and how places like Berwyn helped build his career. He called it his “home.”

He also talked about his Black & Brave Wrestling Academy and mentioned that some of his students were part of the show. It felt like he was passing the torch to the next generation of wrestlers.

Looking back on his journey, Rollins thanked the fans for supporting him everywhere. He said his dream was not just about becoming a global star, but also about wrestling in places filled with passionate fans. He also thanked AAW promoter Danny Daniels, calling him an important mentor in his early career.
