Sissamba Ladies delivered a commanding performance to defeat Immigration Ladies 6-1 and clinch the Champion of Champions title in the 2025/26 GARFA Women’s Division One season finale at the Madina Zongo Astro Turf.
From the opening whistle, Sissamba Ladies asserted their dominance, controlling possession and dictating the tempo of the game. Their attacking efficiency proved overwhelming, as they consistently broke through Immigration Ladies’ defense to rack up an emphatic scoreline.
Immigration Ladies managed to pull one back, but it proved to be only a consolation in an otherwise one-sided contest dominated by Sissamba’s intensity and clinical finishing.
The victory crowns a remarkable season for Sissamba Ladies, who topped Zone B with a flawless record, winning all 14 matches, scoring 64 goals, and conceding just 8 to finish with a perfect 42 points. Their consistency and dominance have been standout features of the campaign.
Immigration Ladies, who finished top of Zone A with 31 points, also demonstrated resilience throughout the season, edging out close challengers Ridge City Women and Teshie Constant Ladies to secure their place at the summit.
Despite the heavy defeat in the Champion of Champions clash, both Sissamba Ladies and Immigration Ladies have secured qualification to represent the Greater Accra Region in the upcoming Women’s Regional Middle League. There, they will compete for promotion to the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
The Champion of Champions fixture once again highlighted the gap between strong and elite performances, while also showcasing the overall growth and competitiveness of women’s football in the region.
