Sol Ruca is opening up about why dating as a WWE Superstar is not always easy, as they have to deal with hurdles that others don’t have to bear.
While speaking to Inside The Ring, Ruca was asked whether dating is difficult as a major WWE star, and she admitted the schedule alone can make things tough. She also noted that dating someone outside the business can be harder because they may not fully understand the travel, workload, and reality of wrestling life.
“I definitely think it is a bit difficult just especially with our schedules and especially if it’s someone who doesn’t really know anything about wrestling, like they don’t really understand just our lives and like what we’re doing and whatnot.”
Ruca explained that it’s not just the travel or busy schedule that can create problems. WWE storylines can also make things tricky, especially when wrestlers are put into on-screen relationships that someone outside wrestling may not be comfortable with. That’s exactly why getting into the dating scene can be difficult when one is living the WWE lifestyle
“And even like with certain storylines, like people being in relationships on TV, like some people are just not OK with that. So I definitely think it is a bit difficult to to to branch out and and be out in that dating scene for sure.”
Ruca’s comments are interesting since she has been dating WWE star Tyler Bate for well over two years, with the couple going public back in early 2024. Her answer makes it clear that even when wrestlers find someone who understands the business, dating in WWE still comes with challenges that most people never have to deal with.
