Former college All-American Stefan Dostanic, based in Boca Raton, moved into the men’s lead after Week 2 of the Roland Garros Wild Card Challenge. Meanwhile, Akasha Urhobo, based in Ft. Lauderdale, maintains her top spot on the women’s side.

The 24-year-old Dostanic, who last year helped lead Wake Forest to the NCAA team title and earned a US Open wild card by winning the American Collegiate Wild Card Playoff, surged into first place after reaching the final of the ATP Challenger 75 in Sarasota.

On the women’s side, Kayla Day closed the gap to just five points after winning the USTA Pro Circuit W35 in Boca Raton, adding a major Florida swing storyline to the Challenge. But the The 19-year-old Urhobo, who’s won two USTA Pro Circuit W35 singles titles already this year, still holds the lead.

With Sarasota and Boca now playing pivotal roles, the Florida clay swing has become one of the biggest factors in shaping this year’s road to Roland Garros.

Week 2 Standings (Women)

1. Akasha Urhobo (235) — 65
2. Kayla Day (158) — 60
3. Varvara Lepchenko (149) — 54

Week 2 Standings (Men)

1. Stefan Dostanic (270) — 44
2. Emilio Nava (112) — 40
3. Nishesh Basavareddy (174) — 37

The Challenge uses clay-court professional tournaments to award one American man and one American woman a main draw wild card into the 2026 French Open.

Points are awarded from a player’s best three clay-court tournaments during the five-week window, which runs through May 3. Both red clay and Har-Tru events at the designated levels are included, making the Florida spring clay swing especially important in the standings race.

The USTA and FFT continue their reciprocal agreement exchanging main draw wild cards for the 2026 French Open and US Open, with the Challenge format once again determining the American entries.

Last year, Iva Jovic and Emilio Nava earned the French Open wild cards through the Challenge, and both advanced to the second round in Paris.
