Blake Monroe has made her WWE main roster debut, and fans will get to see it this Friday.
Monroe, the former Mariah May, made her arrival at Tuesday’s SmackDown taping from The O2 in London, attacking Giulia in her home country of England. While the episode was taped on Tuesday, it did not air live in the United States or overseas. It will instead premiere in its regular Friday night slot at 8 p.m. Eastern on USA Network, airing on the eve of WWE’s Night of Champions premium live event in Saudi Arabia.
Vignettes hyping Monroe’s arrival first began airing in April, and she appeared in a backstage segment a few weeks ago, but the London taping marked her first real in-ring debut on the main roster. A match between Giulia and Kiana James took place immediately before the angle, setting the stage for Monroe’s attack. In the footage of the debut, Monroe can be seen unveiling a new finishing move.
The 27-year-old has built an impressive resume across the wrestling world. Monroe wrapped up her NXT run in April, having been a one-time Women’s North American Champion on the brand. Before signing with WWE, she was a Women’s World Champion in AEW and also spent time competing for Stardom in Japan.
