Steve Maclin Released by TNA – Steve Maclin is no longer part of TNA Wrestling, as the company has officially confirmed his departure.
On Sunday, TNA issued a statement announcing that both Maclin and Myla Grace have been released, effective immediately.
“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Myla Grace & Steve Maclin, effective immediately. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.”
Further confirmation came from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, who reported that Maclin was granted his release from the promotion.
Maclin’s exit comes shortly after his most recent appearance for TNA at the May 15 television tapings held at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. At that event, he challenged Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship but came up short.
Earlier this year, Maclin was involved in a concerning moment during the main event of TNA Sacrifice on March 27. The match was stopped just over two minutes in after he appeared to be knocked out by a superkick. Despite the abrupt ending, it was later clarified that he did not suffer a concussion.
In terms of storyline direction, Maclin had also been part of the 2026 Feast or Fired match, where he secured a briefcase containing a pink slip. However, instead of leading to his exit, the angle shifted, and he was granted a TNA World Title opportunity against Santana at Sacrifice.
His release is notable given that reports earlier this year indicated he had signed a new deal with TNA in January, though specific terms of that agreement were never disclosed.
With his departure now official, Maclin joins the list of recently available talent, and attention will turn to what his next move will be in the wrestling industry.
