Sting’s Son Garrett Borden Picks Up Victory At Rhodes Wrestling Academy Event

Sting’s son Garrett Borden scored another win in his growing wrestling career during the Rhodes Wrestling Academy Final Reckoning event on May 17.

Garrett competed against Brandon Barretta and picked up the victory while continuing to show flashes of his father’s legendary style inside the ring. During the match, Garrett connected with a Stinger Splash as a nod to Sting before finishing Barretta off with an Angle Slam into a neckbreaker for the win.

Many wrestling fans already recognize Garrett from AEW Revolution 2024, where he portrayed Surfer Sting during his father’s retirement match. His brother, Steven Borden Jr., also appeared that night as Wolfpac Sting and has already started building his own wrestling resume through matches in DEFY, NJPW Academy, and AEW dark matches.

Now Garrett continues carving out his own path in wrestling while carrying on the Borden family legacy.

Do you think Garrett Borden could eventually become a major wrestling star like Sting, or is the pressure of that legacy too difficult to match? Drop your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
