Tate Wilder officially made his WWE NXT debut on April 28, and he wasted no time getting involved when things broke down after a match.
With NXT losing several top names to the main roster recently, new opportunities have opened across the brand. That created the perfect moment for new talent to step in — and Wilder took advantage of it.
The moment happened after Sean Legacy returned to team with EK Prosper against Birth Rite. The match wrapped up, but the situation didn’t end there. Birth Rite kept attacking after the bell, beating down the babyfaces even after the match was over.
That’s when Tate Wilder showed up. Wilder ran down to the ring and made the save, stopping the attack and immediately getting a strong reaction from the crowd. The run-in marked his first official appearance on NXT television after previously competing on the EVOLVE roster. The debut didn’t stop there.
After making the save, Tate Wilder was later seen backstage, where Robert Stone greeted him and officially welcomed him to NXT. The segment made it clear that WWE isn’t wasting time introducing new names as the roster continues to shift following recent call-ups.
