The Nike Ja 4 Goes Into “Dark Mode” This Fall

The next chapter of Ja Morant’s signature line is almost here, and although these detailed looks are coming through via unofficial means, the anticipation continues to build for one of the most anticipated follow-ups in recent signature shoe memory.

After officially unveiling the Nike Ja 4 in April, upcoming colorways of the model have begun their typical roll-out through sneaker leakers. This upcoming Black/Dark Grey/Cobalt Bliss edition is dubbed “Dark Mode,” showcasing the silhouette’s aggressive new design language through a stealthy combination of colors.

The upper is executed in a deep grey finish with an almost matte appearance, allowing the shoe’s molded construction to take center stage. Like the most recent entry in Morant’s signature series, the Ja 4 introduces a heavily sculpted exterior covered in a diamond-patterned texture that gives the model a distinctly futuristic look.

A chrome metallic “A” graphic at the midfoot works in tandem with the reverse Swoosh to spell out “JA,” continuing a design element first introduced on the Nike Ja 3. The branding treatment has quickly become one of the signature line’s most recognizable details, helping separate the franchise from other performance basketball offerings on the market.

Expectations surrounding the Ja 4 are understandably high because the Ja 3 emerged as one of Nike Basketball’s biggest success stories in recent years, earning praise for its performance capabilities, bold design, and strong colorway execution. As a result, the Ja 4 enters the market with considerable momentum behind it, tasked with building upon the foundation established by its predecessor.

Release details for the Nike Ja 4 “Dark Mode” are expected to be announced soon, so enjoy these detailed looks beneath.
