Thekla just took her Stardom grudge straight into enemy territory.
The AEW Women’s World Champion made a surprise appearance at Stardom The Conversion 2026 on June 20 at Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium, and she didn’t exactly come in quietly.
After the third match of the show, Stardom president Taro Okada was addressing the crowd when Thekla suddenly appeared behind him with clippers. She then attacked Okada and tried to cut his hair in the middle of the ring.
Thekla, who was fired from Stardom in storyline back in April 2025, kept the chaos going by trying to spit on the Stardom logo. That brought out Starlight Kid, who is already set to face her at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Kid hit the ring to make the save, then grabbed the AEW Women’s World Championship and held it high. She made it clear that the next time she holds that title, she plans on being champion.
The timing was no accident. AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door goes down June 28 at the SAP Center in San Jose, and Thekla’s Stardom invasion gave that title match a much nastier edge.
Thekla walked into Stardom territory, targeted the company president, and tried to disrespect the logo before her challenger ran her off. That is about as personal as it gets before a cross-promotional title match.
