Tony D’Angelo Carted Off In Ambulance After Parking Lot Fireball Attack During 6/23 NXT

The June 23 episode of the show was an interesting episode, and fans didn’t know what they had coming. While a contract signing was expected, we saw Tony D’Angelo wheeled off in an ambulance instead.

The NXT Championship will be on the line at Great American Bash when Tony D’Angelo puts his title up against Naraku. This week’s episode of NXT saw that angle take an unexpected turn.

This rivalry has been heating up for weeks as Naraku has made it clear that he’s coming after The Don and his championship. However, when we came back from a commercial break during the first 30 minutes of this week’s show, fans didn’t know what they were seeing.

The show returned from commercial with the camera in the parking lot. Tony D’Angelo was out on the concrete, with a towel around his head. It looked like there was blood on the white towel as Robert Stone yelled for help that quickly arrived.

As medics loaded the NXT Champion into an ambulance, Robert Stone went on about how Tony D’Angelo was burned. We have no idea what happened, but this is a breaking story with not a lot of information at first. Obviously, this will continue to build, but it’s anyone’s guess what will happen next. They were talking about a fireball attack, even though fans haven’t seen it on television just yet.

Only time will tell what goes down at the Great American Bash. Tony D’Angelo’s match with the former Evil will certainly be interesting.

NXT Great American Bash takes place on June 28, 2026, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show starts at 7 p.m. ET and airs live on The CW. We will have full coverage here at Ringside News.
