Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were at Game 3 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks on Saturday night.
A Pennsylvania native, the “Welcome to New York” singer probably did not have a dog in the fight. But the same cannot be said for her fiancé. Kelce’s hilarious reaction to the Cavaliers’ loss was on the popular Art But Make It Sports page on X, and Swift is involved, too.
The account says that the picture of Kelce slumped in his chair as the Cavaliers lost resembles a 500-year-old painting. Samson and Delilah by Lucas Cranach the Elder doesn’t explicitly mention James Harden’s defense, but the resemblance is there. Swift, in this case, plays the supportive partner after a tough loss.
Kelce and his brother, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce, are proud Cleveland Heights natives and Ohio sports fans. That did not go well for the future Hall of Famer on Saturday night, as the Cavaliers lost 121-108.
This is not the first time Swift has joined her partner for a Cleveland sports event. The two caught a game of the 2024 ALCS between the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
This was the only Art But Make It Sports post about Kelce and Swift on Saturday, but far from the only social media juice the couple picked up. A video has gone viral of Swift photobombing a picture of Kelce and a young fan in the concourse after the game. Their original entrance video also went viral, as it does each time Swift supports the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Cavaliers and Knicks play Game 4 in Cleveland on Monday night. Cleveland needs the win to stay alive in the series, facing elimination and the sweep at the hands of New York. Maybe Swift and Kelce will catch Game 4 on their way out of town after the holiday weekend.
