Two Sets of Siblings Make NWA History After Recent Title Changes

Two sets of siblings have rewritten NWA history in the wake of recent championship changes.

During Saturday’s episode of NWA Powerrr on Comet, Pretty Empowered, comprised of sisters Kenzie and Kylie Paige, captured the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championships.

The Country Gentlemen, consisting of brothers AJ and KC Cazana, are the reigning NWA World Tag Team Champions. As a result, it marks the first time since the National Wrestling Alliance was founded in 1948 that two sets of siblings have simultaneously held the promotion’s tag team titles.

Pretty Empowered’s historic victory came in a chaotic triple-threat match that saw the defending two-time NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle), take on Kenzie and Kylie Paige as well as the team of “Hollyhood” Haley J and Clara Carter. Kylie scored the decisive pinfall over Carter to secure the championships.

The achievement becomes even more remarkable considering that both sibling teams are managed by their fathers. Tommy Henry accompanied his daughters to ringside for their landmark title victory, while The Country Gentlemen continue to be guided by their father, Col. Joe Cazana.

NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions Pretty Empowered and NWA World Tag Team Champions The Country Gentlemen, alongside Col. Joe Cazana, are scheduled to compete at NWA 78 in Philadelphia on July 25.
