BUCCANEERS 51 DUNMORE 19
The U-13 Connacht Bowl final between Buccaneers and Dunmore was played in sunlit Ballinasloe on Sunday. Buccs fresh from a great win v Ballina the previous week in the semi-final were quick out of the blocks with a Noah Doyle try. Buccs were on fire and scored five converted tries before half time to go 35-0 up at the break.
A shell-shocked Dunmore team mounted a comeback and scored 3 tries of their own as Buccs emptied their bench but the Athlone boys finished strongly to win 51-19.
Buccaneers captain Tadgh O’Faola was presented with the U-13 Bowl by Gerry Kelly former CEO of Connacht Rugby.
