Round one of the UFC Vegas 116 co-main event begins and Norma Dumont lands a solid low kick to start. Joselyne Edwards looks to counter with a 1-2, but neither shot lands. Dumont with a jab. Edwards just misses with a shot while Norma’s chin was straight up in the air. A low kick from ‘La Pantera’. She leaps into the pocket with a four-punch combination, the final shot of which grazes the chin of Dumont. Norma looks to shoot. She forces the clinch and pushes Edwards up against the cage. Joselyne reverses the position and lands a pair of knees. Another solid knee. And another. Norma Dumont returns fire with a knee of her own. Edwards shoots in for a takedown attempt. Dumont defends but remains pressed against the cage. Norma lands a trip takedown and ends up in half guard. 90-seconds remain in the opening round. Dumont with some shoulder strikes as she attempts to improve position. One minute remains. Joselyne Edwards with some nice elbow shots from off her back. Edwards explodes and is able to take top control. That was impressive. The horn sounds to end round one.

Round two of the UFC Vegas 116 co-main event begins and Joselyne Edwards opens with a pair of low kicks. Norma Dumont responds with one of her own. A nice side kick from ‘La Pantera’. Norman answers with heavy low kick. She follows that up with a 1-2. Dumont with another low kick. Edwards with a big 1-2 that misses. She attempts a high kick, but Norma avoids and circles out. Joselyne Edwards with a nice kick to the body. Norma Dumont with a good counter punch. She’s getting more comfortable in the standup as time goes on here. Dumont with a nice counter right. Joselyne Edwards charges forward but misses with an attempted combination. Norma Dumont with a nice 1-2. She smiles in a show of confidence. Good low kicks from both ladies. Edwards swings and misses with a wild right hand. Joselyne forces the clinch and pushes Norma against the cage. She lands some knees. Dumont with a right hand at the horn.
The third and final round of the UFC Vegas 116 co-headliner begins and it could easily be 1-1 after ten minutes. Joselyne Edwards using a lot of volume early here. Low kicks and then one to the body. Norma Dumont looks to return fire. She lands a low kick but misses with a right over the top. Joselyne Edwards with a 1-2. She continues to pressure Dumont here in the final round. Edwards forces the clinch and pins Dumont against the cage. Two minutes remain in the fight. Norma Dumont breaks free and gets back to range. She lands a nice outside low kick. She needs to pick up the volume here. Edwards with a jab and then a kick to the body. Dumont with a nice counter right hand. More front kicks from ‘La Pantera’. Norma Dumont with a good 1-2 in return. A nice left up the middle from Norma. Joselyne rips the body. A spinning back fist from Edwards partially connects.
