As things stand in the women’s singles, both Tianer Yu and Sophie Earley take a bye with the them directly into the quarter finals, on opposite sides of the draw, while the remaining matches as follows:

10:27 – The group stages are well underway across the hall. We are expecting the next round of matches to commence at approximately 11:30, where results should coming in from the groups.

8:50 – Good morning from Nottingham!

The stage is set for the 2026 Mark Bates Ltd Under-21 National Championships from the David Ross Sports Village at the University of Nottingham where five titles will be decided, with the men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles all up for grabs. Play is set to commence at 9:00.

A strong field of athletes in both the men’s and women’s singles look to impress, with the 2025 winners, Larry Trumpauskas and Ella Pashley hoping to defend their respective titles. The finals of the Men’s and Women’s Singles are scheduled for 13:30, assuming no delays in play.

In the afternoon, the doubles’ events take centre stage. Isaac Kingham and Mabel Shute will look to defend their title from 2025, while Max Radiven and Rohan Dani will be hoping to claim another title as they defend their crown. Sophie Earley, one half of the women’s doubles winning duo last year – with Eva Eccles, will compete with Anna Green this time around. The mixed doubles is scheduled for a 18:30 grandstand, while the men’s and women’s finals happening immediately after at 19:10.
