After skipping May, Gran Turismo 7’s June update is out now, and if you’re an endurance racing fan, boy is it worth the wait.
First announced last month at the Gran Turismo World Series event in Milan, the free update 1.70 is headlined by the addition of real-world Le Mans Hypercars, coinciding with this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
Five new cars include Le Mans Hypercars
Update 1.70 sees five free cars join Gran Turismo 7’s roster with a focus on endurance prototypes, including the Porsche 963 LMDh, BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh, Ferrari 499P LMH and Peugeot 9X8.
This will give its Le Mans car lineup a much-needed update. Notably, this is the only game on PlayStation that lets you drive current Le Mans Hypercar prototypes before Le Mans Ultimate launches on consoles.

It’s worth noting, however, that the 963 LMDh no longer competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The Ferrari 499P LMH has also won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans three times in a row, from 2023 to 2025, and the Italian manufacturer will be looking to reclaim the crown this week.
Completing the June update’s car lineup is the Porsche 911 Safety Car. Based on the 992-generation Turbo S, it features flashing lights and a unique livery.

Gran Turismo 7 June 2026 update car list
- Porsche 963 LMDh
- BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh
- Ferrari 499P LMH
- Peugeot 9X8 LMH
- Porsche 911 992 Turbo S Safety Car
Alongside the free cars, Update 1.70 introduces an Extra GT Café Menu Book.
Dubbed ‘Collection: Hybrid Prototypes,’ Extra Menu No. 54 continues the endurance prototype theme, requiring you to obtain the older 2016 Audi R18, 2016 Porsche 919 Hybrid and 2016 Toyota TS050 Hybrid.
This Extra Menu Book requires a Collector Level 64 or above.

New World Circuit Events
Elsewhere, the update adds three new World Circuit race events. Fittingly, one of these is a Gr.1 prototype race at the 24 Heures du Mans Racing circuit.

European FR Challenge 550
Pickup Truck Race
Gr.1 Prototype Series
- Watkins Glen Long Course
- 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit
- Sardegna – Road Track – A
New Circuit Experience
A new Circuit Experience is available for the Fisherman’s Ranch venue, this time around its Full Course Reverse layout.
The gargantuan eight-part test is paired with the Lancia Delta HF Rally Car for added off-road authenticity.

FIve new engine swaps
Five new engine swaps are available in the 1.70 build, including interesting changes for the Renault Espace F1 and Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak, two cars that hardly require it. You can also cram a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon V8 into a Toyota RAV4 – because why not?
- Audi TT Coupé 3.2 quattro ’03 – R5-20vT-Quattro-Pikes
- Audi TTS Coupé ’09 – R5-20vT-Quattro-Pikes
- Renault Espace F1 ’95 – VR38DETT-GT-R-Nismo
- Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special ’98 – VR38DETT-GT-R-Nismo
- Toyota RAV4 Adventure ’20 – Demon-Challenger
New Scape location: Pikes Peak
Home of the famous International Hill Climb event, Pikes Peak is a new Scape location for virtual car photographers.

This has been a long-requested location since Polyphony Digital acquired the exclusive license, so it’s a shame to see it restricted to the Scapes mode. Perhaps Polyphony Digital is reserving it for the next Gran Turismo game.
Power Pack Race Shop
The Race Shop has been added to the Quick Menu ahead of Power Pack Practice, Qualifying and Race sessions when using a Garage car.
Detailed Settings are also now accessible in the pit stop menu during Practice sessions under ‘Settings’> ‘Car Settings’ when using Garage cars.
