Hidden in plain sight at the Wolf Tooth Components booth was yet another exciting product from the rapidly expanding brand. Hot on the heels of their latest clip pedal release and their top-end Mark Zero line, WTC shows up at Sea Otter with what appear to be brand new Wolf Tooth hubs on multiple bikes.

Shown in multiple anodized colors, the hubs were on four different bikes in the booth. Wolf Tooth wouldn’t divulge any information about the hubs, but by the looks of things, they’re pretty polished and can’t be that far off from an official launch.

It was interesting to see the hub width and hole count printed on the hub shell, which seems like it could be very useful down the line when you’ve had the hub for 10 years, and you can’t remember what hub standard was used back in 2026. It also clearly shows that it’s machined in the USA – the straight pull hub shell, at least.

While we didn’t get any info on it, by simply spinning the wheel, the freehub sound makes it seem like it’s a ratchet-type. Whether WTC is making its own freehub mechanism or licensing someone else’s remains to be seen.

One thing is for sure – when these do become available, it will be easier than ever to give your bike the whole WTC anodized color treatment to match even more of the components.

Update: WTC Hubs are Official, will get ENVE Freehub

When we first stopped by the Wolf Tooth tent at Sea Otter and spotted the new hubs, the WTC was tight lipped about any details. But as often happens at these things, someone leaked more than they should have, and on our next trip through they were willing to divulge a bit more information.

Most importantly, we found out that the hubs will be equipped with the ENVE Innerdrive freehub system which uses oversized 42mm steel ratchets.

To be available in both classic j-bend and straight pull hub options, the rear j-bend 6-bolt hub weighed in at 245g on our scale while the straight pull centerlock front measured 135g.

Other than what we could see, WTC still wasn’t offering complete details. End caps with wrench flats suggest that the end caps thread onto the axles, which makes sense since that’s how the EVNE hubs are constructed. It seems likely that the WTC hubs will have the same ratchet options as the ENVE hubs, meaning a range of 3.6º/4.5º/6º/9º engagement with 100/80/60/40t rachets.
