Guha gets Kalam Siddiki early with a spectacular delivery
As Bangladesh began their innings, they hoped to build a solid foundation. However, Guha had other plans. Bowling with precision and intent, Guha delivered a stunning ball that would become the highlight of his performance. In the seventh over, with Bangladesh at 19 runs for one wicket, Guha bowled a beautiful delivery that clipped the top of off-stump, sending Kalam Siddiki back to the pavilion for just 1 run off 16 balls. The ball pitched on middle and leg before straightening slightly to breach Kalam’s defence, exemplifying Guha’s skill and composure under pressure.

A struggle for Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s innings struggled to gain momentum against India’s disciplined bowling attack. The scorecard reflected their difficulties. The fall of wickets added pressure on the batting side but with significant contributions from Mohammad Shihab James and Rizan Hossan, Bangladesh managed to put crucial runs on the scoreboard
Meanwhile, the Indian bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths, making it difficult for any partnerships to flourish. India’s bowling performance was characterized by discipline and aggression. In particular, Guha’s figures of overs, conceding just 29 runs and taking two wickets showcased his effectiveness on the field.
Alongside him, Chetan Sharma and Kiran Chormale also contributed significantly by taking crucial wickets that further dismantled Bangladesh’s batting order. The innings concluded with Bangladesh managing only 198 all out in 49.1 overs, a total that reflected both the pressure exerted by India’s bowlers and the inability of Bangladesh batters to adapt to the conditions.
