Which American players have qualified for European competitions?

The 2025-26 Americans Abroad season saw a total of 26 players help their clubs qualify for European competitions.

From Tyler Adams and AFC Bournemouth clinching a first-ever European berth to Christian Pulisic and AC Milan heading to the Europa League, there will be zero shortage of American involvement in Europe’s top competitions.

Sergino Dest, Alex Freeman, and Johnny Cardoso are among the U.S. men’s national team players heading to the UEFA Champions League after delivering positive league seasons abroad this past campaign.

A total of six U.S. women’s national team players will also be heading to the UEFA Women’s Champions League next season. Sam Coffey and Manchester City sealed their spot by winning the WSL title, Lily Yohannes and Lyon did so by capturing the French league title, and Alyssa Thompson and Chelsea finished third in the WSL to hold off Manchester United for the final qualifying spot out of England.
