The White Sox affiliates won three of their five games on Friday, highlighted by an extra-innings win from Charlotte. The Triple-A Knights edged Gwinnett 4-3 behind strong relief efforts from the unrelated Shane and Chris Murphy, while Junior Perez paced the offense with a double, two RBI, two walks, and the game-winning sac fly in the 10th. Birmingham’s game was postponed, but Winston-Salem split its doubleheader with Greensboro as Boston Smith, George Wolkow, and Arxy Hernandez all homered in the 6-3 win. Kannapolis squeaked past Myrtle Beach 3-2 thanks to solid pitching from Blaine Wynk and Trey Cooper, with Billy Carlson contributing an RBI double. In the Arizona Complex League, Jordan Rich reached base three times and drove in two runs, though the ACL White Sox fell 8-6 to the Brewers after a shaky night from the pitching staff.
