After nine years, six continents, and more than 100,000 km of bicycle touring, it’s time for a new chapter. While my partnership with KOGA has come to an end, my search for the ultimate touring bike has led me to Idworx.
The connection feels fitting: Idworx shares many of the values that made me a KOGA rider in the first place, and its owner is the son of KOGA’s founders. In many ways, Idworx feels like the natural successor to the bikes that have carried me around the world for the last decade.
In this video, you’ll see my new Idworx Rohler BLT touring bike, learn about the connection between KOGA and Idworx, take a factory tour, and get an overview of some of the different Idworx bikes and components.
But it’s not just a new bike. I’m also about to embark on a new journey: Arctic2Africa. After spending the last three years cycling through East and Southern Africa, it’s time to head towards West Africa… via Norway!
I’m excited to be riding a different bike, exploring a different part of the world, and setting off on another multi-year, point-to-point cycling adventure.

You can find a rough map of the planned route above. I’m already inside the Arctic Circle and expect to reach South Africa again in around two years’ time, sometime in 2028.
I’ll see you guys out there!
