Las Vegas is the leading candidate to stage the long-awaited heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Fury and Joshua have signed contracts to finally deliver their super fight, which has been over a decade in the making.
While both men are set to earn in the region of £100m each, British fight fans are set to suffer with the highly-anticipated clash likely headed stateside.
Earlier this week, The Athletic reported Las Vegas as the frontrunner to stage the bout.
The British pair have each sold out Wembley Stadium on a number of occasions against different opposition and many believed the 90,000-seater national stadium would have been the perfect setting for two of the most recognisable British heavyweights of all-time to finally square off.
According to boxing insider, Dan Rafael the fight is likely to land across the pond with streaming giant, Netflix, who will likely broadcast it, pushing for it to be held there.
“Las Vegas seems to be the likelihood,” Rafael told Pro Boxing Fans.
“It’s not so much that everybody wants to do the fight in Las Vegas, it’s where Netflix wants to do the fight.
“And because Netflix is paying the biggest money to be the broadcaster, they have some sway in where the fight is going to take place.
“They feel like there’s just a bigger market of viewers in the United States.”
Not only would British fight fans yearning to see the fight live have to fork out thousands in travel costs and accommodation, should they opt to watch it from home, the bout will likely be for a US prime time audience and therefore start at around 4am UK time.
“It will be I guess an early morning fight for the Brits,” Rafael added.
“Set your alarms and get up at five o’clock in the morning or whatever time it’s going to be.”
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn has said the contract states that the bout must take place in the UK and any changes to the location would have to be renegotiated.

On Sunday, Fury sparked rumours of joining Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing after turning up to UFC Freedom 250 at the White House, although his manager Spencer Brown denied that any agreement had been made with Zuffa and that he remains with Frank Warren.
The 37-year-old’s shock appearance at the UFC event marked his first time in America since his third win over Deontay Wilder in 2021, with ‘The Gypsy King’ reportedly banned due to his links to crime boss Daniel Kinahan, who was arrested in April.
White has claimed he’ll be promoting Fury vs Joshua, despite both Hearn and Warren refuting this.
However, on Thursday, Warren admitted that neither he or Hearn can promote the bout on Netflix, due to their exclusive deals with DAZN.
“We have an exclusive contract with DAZN for our UK fights,” the 74-year-old told talkSPORT.
“As far as Tyson’s fight with Joshua is concerned, that’ll be on Netflix.

“So if the fight was in the UK and it was on Netflix, we couldn’t promote it anyway and it’s the same with Eddie Hearn, he’s in the same position.
“If you remember, Eddie who is the promoter of ‘AJ’, his last fight was promoted by Jake Paul.”
Fury came out of retirement in April to defeat Arslanbek Makhmudov and is keen on having another bout before facing ‘AJ’.
Joshua, 36, will fight for the first time since knocking out Jake Paul in December when he faces Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Saudi Arabia.
