WTA Rome Best Bets Including Kenin vs B. Andreescu

WTA Rome Best Bets Including Kenin vs B. Andreescu

The WTA Rome tournament gets rolling on Tuesday. There’s a combination of second-round qualifying matches and first-round main draw matches on the schedule. Including qualifying, over 100 players went to Rome to compete. The qualifying winners advance to the Round of 96 and will try to earn ranking points just before the French Open. Many players are facing matches that will affect their ability to qualify for important tournaments later this year. It’s a very busy day with a packed order of play. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA Rome

Kenin – Andreescu: Time 6:30 EST

H2H: 2-4

This is an amazing first-round match. It’s not often that a first-round match involves two former major champions, but this is one. Sofia Kenin and Bianca Andreescu have both been at the top of women’s tennis. Now they are both struggling and trying to revive their careers. Kenin has lost confidence, while Andreescu has been hit hard by injuries and has found it difficult to recover. Which player will gain the upper hand and move forward in the Rome draw? This is a match to watch on Tuesday.

Best Bet to Make

Andreescu is priced as the clear but not huge favorite. Why? She has had a very tough year and has generally struggled over the past few seasons due to injuries. Andreescu does lead the head-to-head series 4-2 against Kenin, but a lot of those matches were several years ago. In the most recent meeting, earlier this year in Charleston – just one month ago, on clay – Kenin won in straight sets. Kenin to win seems like the clear pick, and you’ll get a great price for it too.

That being said, betting on Kenin winning is a value bet for sure.

Ruzic – Rakhimova: Time 7:00 EST

H2H: 0-2

This match between Antonia Ruzic and Kamilla Rakhimova is priced very close to a toss-up. Some markets have this match priced dead-even, while others give Rakhimova a very slight edge. Both players have losing records in their last five matches, with Ruzic going 2-3 and Rakhimova going 1-4. Both players are looking for a spark, and the markets don’t seem to be very clear or confident on which player to pick.

Best Bet to Make

This match is a moneyline play. You don’t have to get fancy. Picking the winner will give you a decent price. We’re going to lean to Rakhimova. She is 1-4 in her last five matches, but she has lost to an in-form Anhelina Kalinina – who has been very good on clay this year – and to recent Madrid champion Marta Kostyuk. Ruzic has lost to Liudmila Samsonova, who is ranked in the top 50, but Samsonova is not an in-form player. Rakhimova is the play.

That being said, betting on Rakhimova winning is a value bet for sure.

Kessler – Bronzetti: Time 7:00 EST

H2H: 0-0

McCartney Kessler is ranked No. 50, way higher than Lucia Bronzetti, who is No. 173. However, this match might be less straightforward than those rankings would indicate. Kessler has not played a match on European clay this season. She played on clay in Charleston and then went to the Billie Jean King Cup. Lucia Bronzetti has played in three clay tournaments and played six matches on European clay since the Billie Jean King Cup, in which she also participated.

Best Bet to Make

It is noticeable that Kessler has not spent any time playing on European clay, and hasn’t played any match at all since the BJK Cup on April 10. The reason: lower-back problems which have continuously affected her in 2026. Bronzetti is not an in-form player, but she has at least been playing steadily and is relatively healthy. It’s really hard to pick Kessler to win in straight sets, so why not go with Bronzetti to win at least one set?

That being said, betting on Bronzetti +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.
