– Zayn admitted he felt “a little relieved” to see Oba Femi tied up with Brock Lesnar ahead of WWE SummerSlam, joking that after “10-plus years chasing this,” he was hoping to “get just one moment” to enjoy being champion. While he laughed that his focus was simply on “can I get a minute?” he acknowledged that being champion means always having to “rise to the occasion.”
Zayn stressed that he isn’t afraid of any opponent, saying, “I don’t care who the challenger is. I don’t care if it’s Brock, I don’t care if it’s Roman, I don’t care if it’s Oba.” He added, “I’ve been in the ring with monsters,” and while Oba is “very imposing,” he’s “not gonna back down either.” Zayn admitted, “Was I a little relieved? I mean, yeah, sure,” but emphasized that “that’s part of the game” of being WWE Champion, before ending with a smile: “It’s nice to see Oba going off with Brock. That’s nice.”
