The show opens up with a video package recapping this past Sunday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to NXT.
We then see WWE NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey and WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair backstage. Kendal asks Wren if she is coming out with her and Wren then tells Kendal that it’s her moment and she let’s her walk out in front of the WWE Universe. Kendal then makes her way down to the ring. Kendal then thanks the WWE Universe. Kendal then says she is more nervous coming out here tonight than she was wrestling this past Sunday. Kendal then says she admits she isn’t good at talking. Kendal then says she didn’t know she was ready for all these opportunities. Kendal then says she put a lot of pressure on herself. Kendal then says she ran through the EVOLVE Women’s division.
Kendal then says she admits dropping the ball whenever she challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship. Kendal then says her title gave her career a much-needed validation. Kendal then says she can’t sit in the makeup chair without going crazy. Kendal then says she is not here to dress like barbie. Kendal then says she can’t guarantee that every time she talks, she will talk like a champion, but assures she will wrestle like a champion. Kendal then says she promises to take this division to a whole new level. Kendal then says she admits she has a target on her back. Kendal then says she thrives on competition. Kendal then says the locker room will find out that they can’t keep up with her.
Wren Sinclair then makes her way out with a celebratory cake to celebrate Kendal Grey’s crowning moment. Wren then says Kendal had a vision last week and they both walked out of the Great American Bash as champions. Kelani Jordan then makes her way out to rain on Kendal Grey’s parade. Jordan says she wants a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Jordan then talks about missing out on the Great American Bash. Jordan then says she was viciously attacked by a lunatic just for speaking her mind. Tatum Paxley then takes Kelani Jordan out. The brawl is now underway. Kendal and Wren then enjoy their cake while this happens.
We then head to the back, where Keanu Carver stands over an injured El Hijo del Vikingo and Keanu says EK Prosper doesn’t have a title match now and he walks off. Robert Stone then asks for the medical team.
We then see ZARIA walk up to Izzi Dame backstage. Izzi Dame says she wants to take ZARIA’s NXT Women’s North American Championship. ZARIA then gloats about beating Tatum Paxley twice. She then says she thinks Izzi Dame sounds desperate after The Culling fell apart. They then hear Lizzy Rain as she is playing air guitar in the locker room and she says she is making it rain. Izzi Dame then walks out.
We then see Robert Stone and Kelani Jordan walks up to the NXT General Manager and asks him if he saw what just happened. She then says Tatum Paxley attacked her and the two will face each other in the main event later tonight. Robert Stone then walks up to Keanu Carver and says the El Hijo del Vikingo vs EK Prosper match is off. He then books him against EK Prosper for later tonight.
El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Vanity Project follows.
WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) (c) vs. AAA’s Galeno and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
The match starts off with Ricky Smokes and Galeno locking up. Galeno then hits a shoulder tackle. Brad Baylor is now the legal man and Dr. Wagner Jr. comes in. After a back and forth, a tag was made to Ricky Smokes. Wagner Jr. then launches himself over the top rope, wiping out The Vanity Project. Back in the ring, Wagner Jr. and Galeno continue the beatdown on Smokes. Smokes and Baylor then take full advantage while the referee seems distracted. Smokes then tries to rip Wagner Jr.’s mask off. The Vanity Project then continues the beatdown on Wagner Jr. They then hit Wagner Jr. with a double belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.
Wagner Jr. then tries to fight back, but Smokes hits him with a big right. Smokes then follows it up with a suplex. Smokes then applies a rear chin lock. Wagner Jr. then hits Smokes with a kick. Galeno then comes in and he takes the fight to The Vanity Project. Galeno is now throwing bodies around. Galeno then hits a Splash to Baylor for a near fall. Galeno then sends Smokes over the top rope and to the floor. Baylor then tags Smokes. Galeno then corners Smokes and hits him with a big knee. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. then takes out Baylor. The Vanity Project is still alive after Baylor places Smoke’s foot on the second rope. Smokes then hits Wagner Jr. with a dropkick.
Wagner Jr. and Baylor then exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Wagner Jr. then hits an enziguiri to the back of Baylor’s neck. Galeno then enters the fray and he drops Smokes face-first for a near fall. Galeno then launches Wagner Jr. into the cover of Smokes and Baylor breaks the fall. Wagner Jr. then drops Jackson Drake off the apron. Smokes then hits Wagner Jr. with a kick. Baylor and Smokes then hit a double stomp for the win.

After the match, The Vanity Project celebrates in the ring. Jackson Drake will be in action next.
We then see Robert Stone in his office with BirthRight and OTM. Uriah says The Vanity Project defended the title 3 times and Channing says they deserve a tag title match. Nima then says not to worry about what he does in AAA. Sean Legacy then shows up and says he wants a tag title match. Cutler and Osiris then show up and say they are ready to take control of the tag team division. Romeo and Noam Dar then show up. Stone says the tag titles should be defended more often and there will be a Fatal 4-Way Match next week to determine the number one contender. DarkState, OTM, BirthRight and Sean and Dorian get the match. Romeo then says he wants to know why not them. Noam then tells him they need to win some matches before getting their chance.
Mason Rook then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and his opponent is already in the ring.
Singles Match: Mason Rook vs. The Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake
The match starts off with both men locking up. Mason Rook then corners Jackson Drake. Drake then applies a side headlock, but Rook fights out of it and hits a shoulder tackle. Rook then follows it up with a bodyslam for a near fall. Rook then knocks Drake out with a series of chops. We then hear Kam Hendrix calling Booker T during the match and he announces he is coming back real soon. Rook then hits a senton to Drake for a near fall and Drake rolls out of the ring. Rook then continues to destroy Drake. Rook then hits a German Suplex. Drake then hits a big boot and he follows it up with a double stomp. Drake then heads to the top rope and he hits Rook with a missile dropkick for a near fall.
Drake then applies a front facelock submission. Rook then fights out of it and he hits Drake with a spinebuster. Rook then goes for a Splash, but Drake gets his knees up. Drake then hits Rook with a cutter and Rook kicks out at two again. Rook then hits Drake with a series of chops and he follows it up with a back body drop. Rook then hits Drake with a cannonball for another near fall. Drake then hits a kick. Drake then follows it up with a Springboard Stomp for a near fall. Rook then slams Drake down. Rook then misses a Splash in the corner. Drake then moves out of harm’s way and hits Rook with a DDT for a two count.
Drake then hits Rook with a kick. Rook then pops right back up and hits a clothesline. Rook then follows it up with a sit-down powerbomb, but Drake kicks out at two. Ricky Smokes then enters the ring, but Rook sends him outside the ring, wiping out The Vanity Project. Drake then hits Rook with a backstabber into the spine. Myka Lockwood then helps Drake by holding Rook’s foot down for the win.

After the match, Mason Rook clotheslines Brad Baylor and he hits a running back pack cannonball from Ricky Smokes into Brad.
We then see Tate Wilder talking to EK Prosper about his match and he wanted Keanu Carver. EK says he was preparing for Vikingo and he has to face someone different. Tate then tells EK to get revenge on Keanu for putting him through a table.
We then see Robert Stone talking to someone on the phone. Kali Armstrong then walks into his office and she says she is looking for opportunities. Robert Stone then says he can’t hand out title shots. Kali Armstrong then says she knows she can beat Kendal Grey. Robert Stone then tells her that action speaks louder than words.
EK Prosper then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Keanu Carver follows.
Singles Match: EK Prosper vs. Keanu Carver
The match starts off with EK Prosper hitting Keanu Carver with a dropkick. Carver then runs into a big boot. Carver then sends Prosper into the corner and pounds way at him. Prosper then tries to fight back, but Carver puts him down. Prosper then hits Carver with another dropkick. Prosper then sends Carver over the top rope and to the floor. Prosper then hits another dropkick to Carver, but this time on the apron. Prosper then launches himself over the top rope, wiping out Carver. The fight then spills to the outside. Prosper then hits Carver with a DDT. Back in the ring, Prosper heads to the top rope and he hits a Frog Splash for a near fall.
Prosper then hits several right hands on Carver in the corner. Carver then hits a German Suplex and he drives his knee into the back of Prosper.
