Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight’s episode, Tony D’Angelo and Naraku will have a face-to-face to build some hype for their NXT Championship match at next week’s Great American Bash. I suspect that will run about as smoothly as normal with just a repeat of what they’ve said to each other before, D’Angelo saying he’ll retain, Naraku saying he’ll win the title, and some heel like Kam Hendrix will get involved to spoil the party.
Nattie will finally face Jaida Parker after those two have had beef for several weeks. Will Parker be proven to be soft like Neidhart says? I doubt it. This strikes me as a “Parker beats Nattie and we move on from this” type situation. I’m surprised this isn’t happening at Great American Bash, to be honest. Maybe there will be a rematch, though, like a submission match or something.
Setting up some future title stuff, Jackson Drake and Tavion Heights will battle it out to determine who gets a shot at Myles Borne’s NXT North American Championship, which I think will go to Drake. Meanwhile, two first-round matches in the latest WWE Speed tournament will take steps toward Wren Sinclair’s future opponent, once she’s cleared to compete. I’m guessing Thea Hail beats Izzi Dame to keep up the tension with Shawn Spears saying it was a layup easy win, and that Arianna Grace will beat Layla Diggs to set up Grace against Hail.
