Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight’s episode, two championships are on the line, but I don’t ancitipate either of them are going to change hands. This is a random AAA-featured episode of NXT, for some reason. I’m curious if they’re ramping up their connectivity between the brands (since they haven’t done anything with TNA in a while) or if this is just a one-off. Regardless, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno are fighting Swipe Right for the NXT tag team titles. I’d expect The Vanity Project retains, as I just can’t picture two guys from AAA holding these belts at this moment. Likewise, I see zero justification for EK Prosper beating El Hijo del Vikingo for the Latin American Championship. Keanu Carver will interfere and cost Prosper, or Vikingo will just straight-up win to offset the tag team loss for AAA on this show.
Karmen Petrovic just started the Los Perros del Mal group in AAA the other day, so if she loses to Jaida Parker, that’s not a good sign. Parker is having a self-esteem issue as of late. She’ll probably lose and be even more upset.
And while I picture good things for The Vanity Project in the tag team title match, I don’t think Jackson Drake will escape Mason Rook without plenty bumps and bruises, if not a loss as well. That depends on if there is enough interference to offset Rook, who I’d otherwise lean toward winning. Will Myka Lockwood bodyslam Rook and make that a moment? Maybe.
