WWE Replaces AJ Lee Amid Absence » TWNP-Wrestling News

As we first reported here, it could be a while before fans see AJ Lee. Now, WWE has pretty much confirmed that The Black Widow has wrapped with the company. WWE replaces AJ Lee and many other WWE Superstars on their roster page banner. This Superstar banner features WWE’s top merchandise sellers, as well as current talent that Raw, SmackDown, and NXT focus on. With AJ Lee leaving WWE for the time being, it makes sense to replace her with someone more active on the roster. Let’s see who else WWE replaced besides AJ Lee, and who else they’ve added to the WWE Superstars banner.

WWE Updates WWE Superstars Banner

Many pro wrestlers look at WWE as a machine. Past and present Superstars have noted that the “machine keeps going.” Some even note they’re just another cog. These sentiments are certainly reflected through WWE merchandising.

WWE recently updated its WWE Superstars banner to reflect its current crop of television stars. Some of the swaps made sense, while other decisions were downright shocking. Let’s take a look at which current WWE Superstars replaced their peers on the top WWE merchandise banner.

WWE Replaces AJ Lee and Other WWE Superstars

AJ Lee wasn’t the only WWE Superstar removed from the Superstars banner. Even the recently returned Brock Lesnar was given the boot.

WWE replaced the following talents on the left with the names to their right:

  • AJ Lee → Lola Vice
  • Jey Uso → Bron Breakker
  • Randy Orton → El Grande Americano
  • Brock Lesnar → Mason Rook
  • Blake Monroe → Tony D’Angelo
  • Joe Hendry → Trick Williams
  • Stephanie Vaquer → Danhausen
  • Drew McIntyre → Jacob Fatu

Some of these replacements make sense as Lola Vice has become a top star in NXT. Meanwhile, El Grande Americano has stolen the hearts of AAA fans.

Even after Ludwig Kaiser’s recent arrest, the Mexican audience is embracing the faux-luchador. It’s doubtful Curtis Axel will receive the same grace after his recent arrest!

While some WWE Superstars are on the rise, like Danhuasen, it’s shocking to see some others put to rest. After all, Jey Uso was once the hottest act in WWE. Also, Joe Hendry was pegged to be one of the next big things. Yet, they’ve been replaced like AJ Lee!

Who Is Still on the WWE Shop Banner?

While WWE is pivoting from some of its formerly popular Superstars, the TKO-owned company is doubling down on some of its acts. While WWE replaces AJ Lee, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton, they’re still keeping some of their top stars at the forefront of their merchandising efforts.

Stars still on the WWE Shop banner include:

  • Liv Morgan
  • Tatum Paxley
  • Tiffany Stratton
  • Becky Lynch
  • Roman Reigns
  • Rhea Ripley
  • Dominik Mysterio
  • Oba Femi
  • Jade Cargill
  • Seth Rollins
  • Iyo Sky
  • Gunther
  • Cody Rhodes
  • Charlotte Flair
  • CM Punk
  • Penta

There’s no doubt that WWE sees stock in Jade Cargill, Rhea Ripley, Gunther, and Cody Rhodes. These four Superstars will kick off WWE Clash In Italy on ESPN.
