WWE SMACKDOWN Results: May 15, 2026

Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown (May 15, 2026) emanates out of the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina and will air at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.

This post here will be updated frequently throughout the night to reflect live coverage of Friday Night SmackDown, including all the match results, rundowns of the promos, and any other interesting or noteworthy things that take place. Keep refreshing for updates to find out all the winners and more!

Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for tonight’s episode, not a single match has been advertised as of writing up this preview, meaning it’s all room for speculation what will be added to the show.

Instead, WWE has done another one of their “just watch the show because some big names will be on it to talk” types of lineups, not even putting any of that out there until the afternoon of the show itself, too. Does this mean they’re still writing the show very late? Are they not at all confident in any of the matches being worth anything, so they don’t want to announce a do-nothing episode? Or is this all just banking on the hopes that they will spontaneously announce matches at the start (after the usual 15-20 minutes of promos kicking things off, naturally) that they hope will hook audiences?

What they have advertised are “Gunther must decide whether to join SmackDown to challenge Cody Rhodes”—despite how it was already implied that he had joined the roster and why would he have to decide to do that or not when his whole goal was to challenge Rhodes? There is no negative presented yet for why he wouldn’t just want to join the SmackDown roster to get the thing he went out of his way to ask for.

They’re advertising “Trick Williams returns to the University of South Carolina for a special celebration” which will mean either just talking some trash about how he retained the United States Championship over Sami Zayn and nothing else, picking up where that feud left off to stretch that out some more, or having someone interrupt him to move on to a new storyline.

Also, “Jade Cargill will address the WWE Universe after returning to attack Rhea Ripley” which will assuredly mean that she will cut a promo alongside B-Fab and Michin about how she’s going to get the WWE Women’s Championship back, which will lead to Ripley and possibly Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair coming out for a fight.

Not yet announced in any capacity, but things that you should expect to see some follow-up on, are the results from Backlash including Danhausen and the Minihausens defeating The Miz and Kit Wilson.

Will Tiffany Stratton put the Women’s United States Championship on the line? Is there going to be more issues and tension between Giulia and Kiana James over how James got that title shot last week? It’d be strange not to see more with Fatal Influence, who is also crossing paths with The Irresistible Forces over Brie Bella’s and Paige’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship titles, but could be involved in anything else.

Royce Keys continues to try to be recruited by Solo Sikoa, who is also still in danger of losing Tama Tonga, as Shinsuke Nakamura wishes to pull him out of the faction. Talla Tonga seemed poised to face Nakamura, but he’s also scored a win over Damian Priest, which could put the MFTs back in title contention for Wepa Up’s WWE Tag Team Championship. Lots of crossovers between feuds are happening at the moment and sometimes, the direction isn’t exactly obvious where it will go week by week.

Update: An hour or so before the show, suddenly, some matches are now announced.

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown – May 15, 2026:

  • Trick Williams, Lil Yachty, and a local mascot were in the ring for a promo when The Miz and Kit Wilson interrupted. After some trash talk, an impromptu match was set up.
  • Trick Williams defeated The Miz by pinfall.
  • Backstage, Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes had a confrontation leading to a challenge for a match.
  • Also backstage, Rey Fenix was talking to Nick Aldis. Sami Zayn then apologized to Aldis over how he acted during last week’s show. He still asked for a rematch for the US title, which Aldis said no to, as he already had that match. Zayn then flipped out that he’s earned it from what he’s done over all these years. Fenix then called out how he doesn’t even recognize Sami anymore with how he’s been acting.
  • Brie Bella and Paige will defend their tag team titles against The Judgment Day on Monday Night Raw. Nia Jax and Lash Legend came up to them to wish them luck because they want to beat them for the belts at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
  • Brie Bella & Paige defeated Giulia & Kiana James by pinfall.
  • Chelsea Green tried again to get on Tiffany Stratton’s good side, but was once again rejected.
  • The Cody Rhodes and Gunther segment led to Gunther having to beat Royce Keys to earn a #1 contender spot for Clash in Italy (doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of the Paul Heyman favor?)
  • Shinsuke Nakamura was about to have another one of his backstage talks with Tama Tonga that have been repeating the same thing for a few months, but Talla Tonga attacked him before he could.
  • Royce Keys had a backstage interaction with R-Truth saying he should join their Judgment Day team. Keys chuckled about it. Truth then admitted that Damian Priest was right in having him stay back last week and now that he’s injured, he’s going to do the same tonight.
  • Carmelo Hayes defeated Ricky Saints
  • Danhausen complained about the Minihausens not cleaning up and is getting started on his “life’s work”, whatever that is.
  • Damian Priest defeated Tama Tonga by pinfall.
  • Sami Zayn vented to a still catatonic Johnny Gargano backstage, but might have gotten through to him with the idea of not listening to anyone and just being true to yourself.
  • Jade Cargill cut a promo about how she will win back the women’s title from Rhea Ripley at Clash in Italy. Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair came out to talk some trash and lead into their match against Cargill’s backup.
  • Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair defeated B-Fab & Michin by disqualification after interference from Jade Cargill.
  • Fatal Influence spoke backstage to warn the locker room about how they’ll all fall at their feet.
  • Flair and Bliss talked to each other about how they were outnumbered tonight and they need Rhea Ripley’s help.
  • Solo Sikoa offered to help Royce Keys win tonight with a thinly-veiled threat that he would send Talla Tonga to attack him just like what happened to Shinsuke Nakamura if he declined to join the MFTs.
  • Gunther defeated Royce Keys by pinfall. Keys threw a steel chair at Solo Sikoa toward the end of the match, which ended up being a distraction. This means Gunther will face Cody Rhodes at Clash in Italy. Rhodes then gave Gunther a Cross Rhodes from behind to end the show.
