As noted before, WWE has been working on “big plans” for Danhausen in relation to the New York Knicks’ quest to win this year’s NBA Finals, which the team managed to do following their series clinching Game 5 victory on Saturday in San Antonio. Danhausen congratulated the team following their victory and mentioned how they had been uncursed by him.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that a deal between Danhausen and the New York Knicks is currently being put together by WWE’s parent company TKO Group.
Alvarez reported that WWE cameras will be in attendance at the Knicks’ victory parade and the company likely will be putting together a Knicks and Danhausen documentary for their official YouTube channel.
Alvarez also reported that WWE officials are currently working to get several Knicks players and head coach to make an appearance for their upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show on July 18th at Madison Square Garden. At least one Knicks player reportedly is confirmed to be attending the event at the moment.
WWE reportedly has already released Knicks/Danhausen championship merchandise on their WWEShop online store.
Danhausen reportedly is also currently scheduled to make an appearance on ESPN on Sunday or this Monday at the earliest.
