Your voice shapes the future of Table Tennis Ireland

Table Tennis Ireland is launching its first-ever national Club and Member Questionnaire — and we want to hear from everyone. Whether you’re a club administrator, a coach, a volunteer, or a player who turns up on a Tuesday night, your experience of TTI matters to us and we want to know about it.

The sport has grown significantly in recent years. But growth means very little if the people and clubs at the heart of it don’t feel genuinely supported. We’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes — on funding, safeguarding, competitions, development, and communications — and we want to understand whether that work is landing where it needs to.

“This isn’t a box-tick exercise. We’ll share a summary of what we heard — and what we’re doing about it at a Club Webinar at the end of June 2026.”

The questionnaire takes around 8–10 minutes and covers everything from your experience of TTI affiliation to what you’d want us to prioritise, how inclusive your club feels, and how you’d like to get more involved. All responses are completely anonymous unless you choose to share your details for a follow-up conversation.

A special focus on inclusion.

For the first time, this questionnaire includes a dedicated section on inclusion and diversity. We want to understand how clubs across Ireland are engaging with players from all backgrounds — and what TTI can do to make the sport genuinely accessible to everyone.

This section covers disability and Para sport, underrepresented communities, awareness of TTI’s existing programmes, and the real barriers clubs face. Your honest answers will shape how we invest in this area over the next 12 months.

Programmes covered: Bat & Chat  ·  Para Pathway  ·  Women in Sport  ·  Disability Gateway Programme  ·  Special Olympics Ireland  ·  Foróige

Why it matters.

The results from this questionnaire will directly inform TTI’s membership offer for 2026/27, shape the agenda for our upcoming club webinar series, and provide real evidence for our conversations with Sport Ireland and other funders.

We’re also exploring the introduction of a Club Standards Programme — a Bronze, Silver, and Gold recognition framework for clubs that meet certain governance, safeguarding, and engagement standards. Your feedback on whether that would be valuable to you is one of the questions we’re asking.

Please find a link to the survey below. The closing date for receipt of returned surveys is Wednesday 24th June.
