Errol Spence Jr has made his prediction for Saturday’s hotly-anticipated world title fight between Xander Zayas and Jaron Ennis.
Zayas puts his WBO and WBA super welterweight world titles on the line against Ennis at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, live on DAZN pay-per-view.
‘Boots’, who is looking to become a two-weight world champion, is a strong favourite with the oddsmakers and former unified welterweight titlist, Spence has backed him to overcome the Puerto Rican.
“I got Boots winning,” the 36-year-old told media this week.
“I don’t know [if it’ll go 12 rounds].
“Jaron might put on a show.”
A Spence-Ennis match-up was mooted when both men competed at welterweight, although a meeting failed to materialise.
Spence instead went on to challenge Terence Crawford for the undisputed 147 pound crown, losing by ninth round stoppage in 2023.

The Texan will end a three-year lay-off when he returns in a middleweight bout against Tim Tszyu in Australia on July 26 and has since switched trainers from Derrick James to Ronnie Shields.
Spence refused to shake the Australian’s hand at their first press conference, a move he said was due to comments he heard Tszyu make.
“I heard something he said about he’s going to do me like [Sebastian] Fundora did Keith Thurman,” he said.
“Just talking a whole bunch of crap and he expects me to shake his hand.

“I wasn’t in the mood for that.
“It’s time to fight.
“We’re in a tough fight.
“He says it’s going to be a war then let it be that.

“I feel like it was just the right time to come back.
“The right opponent and I just felt good about coming back.
“My body felt good, so I said why not?”
