Zoey Stark Released By WWE While Still Out Of Action With Injury

Zoey Stark is officially gone from WWE.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Stark has been released by WWE, making her one of the latest names removed from the company’s roster as cuts continue to surface.

“Zoey Stark has been released by WWE, Fightful Select has learned.”

Her departure comes as a surprise given that Stark had been working her way back from a major injury that had kept her out of action for months. She suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the May 19 episode of RAW, an injury that required surgery and extensive rehab.

Before her release, Stark had shared updates with fans about her recovery progress, revealing that doctors had warned she might need additional procedures if her knee didn’t improve.

“In the last video, one of the reasons why I was having a hard time was because I was told that either I would have to get a scope done, which is where they go in, clean out my knee and scar tissue, or to get a manipulation under anesthesia.”

Despite that concern, her rehab eventually began trending in the right direction, and she shared that her recovery had improved significantly.

“But now we’re back on track. That did not have to happen. Thank God. Now I’m running, I’m jumping, I have full range of motions. Things are going great. Honestly, I’m happy. I’m blessed.”

At the time, Stark made it clear she was determined to return to the ring once medically cleared.

“I really, really can’t wait to get back into the ring and get back to you guys. So that’s all—Stark out.”

Now, instead of preparing for a comeback, Stark finds herself out of WWE entirely. Her exit adds to the growing list of names released amid ongoing speculation about roster cuts across the company.

Stark had built momentum on WWE’s main roster with her aggressive style and consistent performances before her injury halted her run. With her now gone, attention will likely turn to where she lands next once fully healthy.

What’s your reaction to Zoey Stark being gone from WWE — and where do you think she ends up next once she’s cleared to compete? Let us know in the comments.
