Ghana’s Black Stars will conclude their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a friendly match against Honduras on June 9.
The fixture replaces an earlier planned game against Jamaica on June 10, which was ultimately not finalised.
The Honduras encounter will be played behind closed doors as the team fine-tunes its final preparations for the global showpiece.
It will be the last test for head coach Carlos Queiroz’s side after their recent 1-1 draw with Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium, a match that offered an early look at the team’s readiness.
Following the friendly, the squad will travel to Toronto to begin their campaign at the 23rd edition of the World Cup.
Ghana, making their fifth appearance at the tournament, have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatiaâwidely considered one of the toughest groups in the competition.
The Black Stars open their group stage against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field, before taking on England at Gillette Stadium on June 23. Their final group match will be against Croatia on June 27.
The team is aiming to reach the knockout stage for the first time since 2010, after group-stage exits in both 2014 and 2022.
