WWE shareholder trial no longer appears on court schedule

The WWE shareholder trial that was scheduled to start this Monday, June 8 has been removed from the court’s calendar.

According to a report from Bloomberg, late on Friday, per attorney Greg Varallo of Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP, who represents the WWE shareholders, said the four-day trial which was scheduled to start this Monday, is no longer listed on the Delaware Chancery Court’s calendar.

At the time of the report it was not indicated what the reasoning was for the case’s removal from the schedule.

The trial would have seen testimonies given by Vince McMahon, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, Ari Emanuel, and Mark Shapiro among others involved in the merger deal

The lawsuit alleges that McMahon organized the TKO deal back in 2023 in order to save his own personal standing within the company, after a number of sexual misconduct allegations that became public in 2022. The plaintiffs claim McMahon only trusted Emanuel and UFC’s owner Endeavor would allow McMahon to stay on after a finalized deal. The plaintiffs also claim that other bidders were not allowed to have a fair chance at purchasing WWE, thus resulting in WWE shareholders being shortchanged.

The Bloomberg report also notes that A Chancery Court judge seized on records showing McMahon and WWE leaders changed their Signal auto-delete settings and determined the erasures were intentional.
