MONTREAL — Tyson Fury delivered a masterclass performance Saturday night, defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision in front of more than 60,000 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Fury controlled all 12 rounds en route to a decisive victory, with judges scoring the bout 120-108, 120-108, and 119-109, reaffirming his place among boxing’s elite heavyweights.
Fury Outclasses Makhmudov Over 12 Rounds
From the opening bell, Fury showcased his trademark movement, ring IQ, and technical precision.
Makhmudov (21-3, 19 KOs), known for his knockout power, struggled to find consistent success against Fury’s size, defense, and ability to dictate the pace.
Round after round, the British superstar neutralized Makhmudov’s offense while landing cleaner, more effective shots—keeping full control of the fight from start to finish.
By the championship rounds, the outcome was all but certain.
Sold-Out Stadium and Massive Global Audience
The bout drew a sold-out crowd of over 60,000 spectators in London, further cementing Fury’s global drawing power.
The event was also streamed worldwide on Netflix, reaching a potential audience of more than 300 million subscribers, marking another major moment in boxing’s shift toward global digital platforms.
Makhmudov Shows Heart in Defeat
Despite the loss, Makhmudov displayed resilience, going the full 12-round distance against one of the sport’s most dominant heavyweights.
“Over 12 rounds, Arslanbek gave everything—his effort, his heart, and everything he had left,” said Camille Estephan, president of Eye of the Tiger Management.
“But Tyson Fury is one of the best of his generation, and tonight, he was on another level.”
Fury Adds Another Statement Win
With the victory, Fury improves to 35-2-1 (24 KOs), adding another dominant performance to his already legendary résumé.
For Makhmudov, now 21-3 (19 KOs), the bout marks a setback against elite competition—but also valuable experience on one of boxing’s biggest stages.
