The Octagon returns to the Great White North for tonight’s UFC Winnipeg event, a 12-bout fight card headlined by Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Malott.
Burns (22-9 MMA), a former welterweight title challenger, will enter this evening’s main event with hopes of snapping a four-fight losing skid. ‘Durinho’ most previously competed inside of the Octagon eleven months ago, where he suffered a first-round TKO loss to rising contender Michael Morales (see that here). The 39-year-old picked up his most recent victory three years ago when he defeated Jorge Masvidal by way of decision at UFC 287.
Meanwhile, Mike Malott (13-2-1 MMA) will enter tonight’s headliner sporting a three-fight winning streak, his most recent victory being a decision win over Kevin Holland this past October in Vancouver. Prior to that triumph, ‘Proper’ was coming off a TKO victory over Charles Radtke.
UFC Winnipeg is co-headlined by a men’s bantamweight matchup featuring Kyler Phillips taking on Charles Jourdain.
Phillips (12-4 MMA) will enter the bout looking to rebound, this after suffering back-t0-back unanimous decision losses to Rob Font and Vinicius Oliveira in his most recent Octagon appearances. Prior to those setbacks, ‘The Matrix’ had strung together three straight wins, including a submission victory over Marcelo Rojo.
Meanwhile, Charles Jourdain (17-8-1 MMA) is currently riding a two-fight winning streak, this after earning back-to-back submission wins over Victor Henry and Davey Grant (see that here). The Canadian standout, known as ‘Air’, has gone 3-2 over his past five fights overall.
Also featured on tonight’s UFC Winnipeg main card is women’s flyweight bout between Jasmine Jasudavicius and Karine Silva.
Jasudavicius (14-4 MMA) will enter the contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a TKO loss to Manon Fiorot in her most recent Octagon appearance this past October. Prior to that setback, the 37-year-old had reeled off five straight wins, including a submission victory over former UFC champion Jessica Andrade (see that here).
Meanwhile, Karine Silva (19-6 MMA) most previously competed at UFC 323 in December of 2025, where she suffered a decision loss at the hands of Maycee Barber. Prior to that defeat, ‘Killer’ was coming off a decision win over Dione Barbosa.
