We had to ask him to find out
We saw the other day that Greg Minnaar was one of the downhill riders registered to race in the World Cup downhill event in South Korea this week, but we couldn’t find any results for him in the practice runs or the qualifiers.
We have his email address so we sent him an email and asked him.
“Hi, Greg,
“[We] saw you were signed up to race in Korea, but [we] didn’t see your name in the timed runs. Are you racing there?”
Greg wrote us back and told us:
“I’m in SK. But not racing. Registered just for points.” —Greg Minnaar
Greg didn’t tell us any more than that, but we were still happy to hear back from him. We don’t know what points he gets for registering, but it’s cool that he wrote us back. We thought that he might have wanted to ride the course in practice so he could give advice to the Norco Downhill team about the track, but he didn’t mention anything about that to us.
