Arsenal welcome relegated Burnley to The Emirates on Monday night knowing that victory will put them on the verge of the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta’s side currently boast a two-point lead over second-placed Manchester City, and are overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy later this month.
The Gunners must simply beat both the Clarets and Crystal Palace in their final two games in order to lift the trophy for the first time in more than two decades, while City face Bournemouth before a final day encounter with Aston Villa.
In the meantime, though, it appears that one of Arsenal’s highest earners is likely to be on his way out of the club.
As per CaughtOffside, striker Gabriel Jesus is increasingly likely to leave The Emirates during this summer’s transfer window.
The Brazilian’s weekly wage of £265,000 makes him one of the club’s highest earners, but the report suggests that he may depart this summer.
Having joined Arsenal from Man City in 2022, the 29-year-old has scored 31 goals in 122 games for the north London side across all competitions, although he has been hampered by injuries this term.
The forward will enter into the final year of his current contract this summer, and the report suggests that the two parties may decide that it is a good time to part ways.
Jesus is said to have attracted interest from clubs in Italy, with both Juventus and AC Milan interested in the Brazil international.
While Arsenal would be willing to allow Jesus to leave the club for a fee in the region of £30 million, it is claimed that the player’s high wages could prove a stumbling block as Serie A sides look to agree a deal.
So far this season, the attacker has scored five goals in 26 matches including two goals in 13 Premier League appearances.
