Zelina Vega may already be moving on from WWE faster than anyone expected, as she has already landed a movie role following her release.
According to PWInsider, Zelina Vega has already booked a movie role shortly after WWE made the decision to release her as part of the company’s latest post-WrestleMania roster cuts. The report comes only days after Vega publicly announced that she was accepting outside bookings and preparing for the next stage of her career outside WWE. Following her release, Vega took to Twitter and posted her booking information directly.

Before that, Zelina Vega addressed the release during a Twitch stream and admitted the decision completely blindsided her. According to Vega, there were no warning signs backstage before the call came in.
“When people call me, usually from there it would say Stamford calling me, and that’s when your heart is like, ‘Oh f**.’ But this time it said TKO. 5:09 PM is when I found out.”*
Even while expressing disappointment, Vega also strongly hinted she already had plans outside wrestling lined up.
“I don’t hold any bad feelings—I understand business is business. However, business is business on my side as well. I don’t even think they expect what’s next. Wrestling isn’t the only screen you’ll see me on.”
That statement suddenly carries a lot more weight now that a movie role has reportedly already been secured. Vega also suggested WWE never fully allowed her to execute the character ideas she wanted creatively.
“It was like, if you would’ve let Zelina be Zelina the way we had envisioned for this new character, y’all would have f*****ing loved it because we had so many things we wanted to do.”
At this point, no details about the movie project itself have been revealed publicly. However, the quick turnaround makes it obvious that Vega is wasting no time building momentum outside WWE.
Given her experience in acting, streaming, cosplay, voice work, and mainstream media appearances beyond wrestling, many fans already viewed her as one of the most versatile names released during WWE’s latest cuts. Now it looks like her post-WWE transition may already be underway in a major way.
