Kingdom Come: Deliverance Developer Confirms it’s

Warhorse Studios has released the first details of its upcoming projects, which include a new Kingdom Come: Deliverance game and an open-world RPG set in Middle-earth.

It’s long been rumoured for a little while that one of Warhorse’s next projects would be a return to its award-winning Kingdom Come: Deliverance series and an ambitious swing at the world of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

Back at the end of March, a Polish podcast about Tolkien featured industry veteran Ryszard Chojnowski, who stated he’d heard Warhorse is the studio working on Embracer’s big Middle-earth RPG.

Now the developer has taken to social media to address those rumours and confirm them.

Warhorse Studios Answers the Call to Create a Lord of the Rings RPG

’‘You might have heard the rumours, it’s time to reveal what we are working on.’’

🗺️ An open-world Middle-earth RPG.

⚔️ A new Kingdom Come adventure.

’‘We’re excited to tell you more when the time is right.’’

In 2025, Warhorse Studios released Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the long-awaited sequel to its surprise medieval RPG hit. It was a critical and commercial success, and the easy next step would surely have been to make a third game.

Which is seemingly what Warhorse is doing (it notably doesn’t say it’s working on a new Kingdom Come: Deliverance RPG), but also throwing in a Middle-earth RPG.

Will we see any sign of either game soon? Perhaps at Summer Games Fest? It doesn’t seem like either game is quite ready to be seen properly, but you never know if a teaser could show up for one or the other in the Summer.
