Je’Von Evans is clearly being viewed as a major prospect backstage in WWE, and the company’s top names are already paying attention.
According to Rope Break, Evans has continuously received praise from fellow wrestlers and WWE’s creative team for his work. Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch have also been spending time with Evans, which only further shows how much potential people inside the company believe he has.
This comes after Disco Inferno criticized Evans’ Intercontinental Championship match against Penta on the May 25, 2026 episode of Monday Night RAW. Disco felt both men moved too quickly through major offense and should have sold more: “Wouldn’t hurt to sell some of those moves.”
The match featured hurricanranas, cutters, dives, superkicks, a Penta Driver, and several near falls. Evans was even sent into the corner of the announce desk, with Michael Cole saying he may have broken his back. Penta eventually retained the Intercontinental Championship after hitting Evans with a Mexican Destroyer, but the match still gave Evans another major focus on RAW.
Disco may have had issues with the selling, but the backstage reaction tells a different story. With names like Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch spending time with him, Evans is clearly viewed as one of WWE’s strongest young prospects moving forward.
