Since Don Mattingly has taken over as manager of the Phillies, he has guided them to a second place 43-36 record in the NL East standings. It has been a team effort to get where they are and just yesterday they had an eight run ninth inning with one strike left. Their Topps Now card explains it:
The Philadelphia Phillies didn’t let up with one out left against Washington, plating eight runs in the ninth inning to secure a 14-9 victory. Thanks to homers from Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott, the Phillies rallied for their highest-scoring ninth inning since 2015. “This game is crazy when you see stuff like that,” said interim Manager Don Mattingly.
Until then, see you at the park.
