Cody Rhodes Pushes for England to Host WrestleMania Within the Next Five Years

Cody Rhodes is giving England’s WrestleMania dream a serious push, even after London’s 2028 hopes took a hit.

During a WWE live event in Sheffield, Cody Rhodes addressed the crowd and made it clear he believes WWE needs to bring WrestleMania to England. He didn’t promise anything official, but he told fans not to lose faith.

“We talked about the big PLEs and WrestleMania. So, there are a lot of places that WrestleMania is supposed to go. But say — and I’m not trying to give anything away here — say I’m here for maybe five more years. Five years sounds like a good number, right?”

Then Cody went all in, saying WWE has to make WrestleMania in England happen while he is still around. Cody then turned the moment straight toward the fans, naming several English cities and asking them to make their voices heard.

“In the next five years that I’m here, we have to do a WrestleMania in England! So, don’t lose faith, because there are many who think like me. And I want you to look at this camera, and I want to ask you: I know that England deserves a WrestleMania. Sheffield, London, Nottingham, Newcastle — everywhere we go. But you tell us, does England want a WrestleMania?!”

That is a pretty strong statement from one of WWE’s top stars, especially because it comes after reports that there are currently no specific negotiations to bring WrestleMania to London in 2028. The Mayor of London’s office confirmed there are general talks with WWE, but nothing specific around WrestleMania 2028.

So, the official London update cooled things down, but Cody just fired the fans right back up. He clearly wants England in the WrestleMania conversation, and he made sure the crowd knew they are not the only ones pushing for it. For now, WrestleMania in England is not locked in. But Cody Rhodes is saying what a lot of UK fans have been screaming for years — England deserves the big one.
