Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight’s episode, everyone will be banned from ringside as Chris Jericho faces Ricochet following their Stadium Stampede fight at Double or Nothing. My guess is Jericho gets the win and finishes the feud.
Lots of promos will take place, including hearing from MJF about winning the world title from Darby Allin, Kevin Knight about attacking Darby Allin, Cage and Cope having a 5 second pose for their tag team title victory, Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis talking about turning on Konosuke Takeshita, and surely more. Lots of story beats to touch on from the pay-per-view.
Jack Perry will face Mark Davis in their Owen Hart Cup match. I’m leaning toward Davis on that one so he can lose in the next round to Will Ospreay, but Perry could win and do the same. There’s nothing stating it can’t be babyfaces against each other like that.
Lastly, Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander will battle it out in a Lights Out Philly Street Fight. Typically, hardcore matches within the women’s division in AEW tend to be fantastic, so I’m looking forward to this quite a bit. As far as who will win, that’s a toss-up, which makes it even more interesting.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite – May 27, 2026:
- Kenny Omega spoke to Will Ospreay in a clip from Sunday, about how he shouldn’t trust The Death Riders.
- Promo: “The Jet” Kevin Knight effectively said he beat up Darby Allin for no real actual justification other than the usual “it’s my time” type heel stuff that doesn’t really make any sense, but the point is just to get you to know he’s a heel now. If you didn’t know that for sure, “Speedball” Mike Bailey came out to tell him they can fix this if he apologizes, and Knight took him out.
- Everyone Banned from Ringside Match: Chris Jericho defeated Ricochet by pinfall. Jericho was attacked by Tommaso Ciampa after the match.
- Andrade El Idolo cut a promo backstage to the camera about how he wants to focus on getting the world title.
- Superstation Showcase 4-Way: Rush defeated Brian Cage, Lio Rush, and Orange Cassidy
- Backstage, Kevin Knight immediately interrupted MJF’s interview with Renee Paquette. MJF blew him off and Knight told him he didn’t attack Darby Allin for MJF, reminding him that one day, he’ll beat MJF for the world title. Kyle Fletcher then walked up to Knight to “admire” the TNT Championship. Don Callis said if “Jet Two Belts” is serious, he knows who to talk to.
- After the commercial break, it’s time for another backstage interview with Renee Paquette talking to The Brawling Birds. Jamie Hayter’s not all upset over losing at Double or Nothing. Alex Windsor was looking forward to facing Willow Nightingale, but she’s now facing a wild card due to Willow’s injury. Next week, that match takes place, but they didn’t announce who the wild card is.
- MJF’s three-time AEW World Champion celebration was interrupted by Mark Briscoe, who tried to get a title shot, but MJF turned down the challenge. Rush then came out to do the same, and MJF actually agreed to put the title on the line against him next week.
- Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First-Round Match: Brody King defeated Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall.
- Adam Copeland and Christian Cage were going to celebrate their AEW World Tag Team Championship victory with a five-second pose, but The Dogs attacked just as they were about to, going so far as to also injure Cage’s arm as well.
- Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland had a backstage warning for what they’re going to do to Brody King when they face in the Owen Hart Cup, gloating about what Swerve did to Bandido at Double or Nothing as a sign of what’s to come.
- TayJay (Anna Jay & Tay Melo) defeated Ava Everett and Allie Katch
- Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First-Round Match: Mark Davis defeated Jungle Jack Perry by pinfall. Don Callis then cut a promo afterward about how Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita were never the chosen one, as that has always been Kyle Fletcher, who came out to call Takeshita a selfish prick among other things. Takeshita came out, flanked by members of The Conglomeration as backup. The Don Callis Family crew retreated immediately. Takeshita then grabbed a mic and said he got the title back and now, he wants Fletcher.
- Trios Match: The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC) and Will Ospreay defeated The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, & Myron Reed)
- Samoa Joe is “stepping away for a few months” and expects HOOK, Anthony Bowens, and Katsuyori Shibata to hold it down. HOOK then awkwardly repositioned himself to the middle of the other two.
- The Divine Dominion attacked TayJay backstage, laughing that they only lasted 30 seconds.
- Andrade El Idolo defeated Ace Austin
- Lights Out Philly Street Fight: Kris Statlander defeated Hikaru Shida by pinfall
