India ended the Asian U-20 Athletics Championships in Hong Kong with another gold as its women’s 4x400m relay team set a meet record on the final day on Sunday.
The quartet of Bhumika Sanjay Nehate, Tahura Khatun, Sehnoor Bawa and Neeru Pathak clocked 3:38.07 to finish ahead of Kazakhstan, which took silver in 3:43.63. Host Hong Kong claimed bronze in 3:49.94.

India’s men’s 4x400m team of Piyush, Sayed, Ranjith, and Mohammed took bronze in 3:05.54.

India added another relay medal soon after, with the men’s 4x400m team of Piyush Raj, Sayed Sabeer, Ranjith Kumar S. and Mohammed Ashfaq taking bronze in 3:05.54. China won gold in 3:04.88, while Qatar finished second in 3:05.06.

Venkatram Reddy Mogali won gold in the men’s 800m.

Earlier in the day, Venkatram Reddy Mogali won gold in the men’s 800m with a personal best of 1:48.27. Muskan had also topped the women’s 5000m in 16:53.08, while Nishchay claimed silver in the men’s discus throw with a personal best of 60.10m.
