Angel Garza and Berto apparently are not leaving WWE anytime soon despite fans panicking after their strange RAW appearance this week.
After Los Garza got completely destroyed by Oba Femi in a quick handicap match on WWE Raw, fans immediately started worrying something bigger was happening behind the scenes. That panic got even worse after Angel posted a message thanking fans for supporting “the Garza Legacy,” while Berto wiped his Twitter account and uploaded a black screen. Now Bryan Alvarez is reporting that internally, the expectation is that Angel and Berto are staying put.
“Also, the feeling is Angel and Berto aren’t going anywhere, and with AAA looking for a US TV deal, most likely a lot of the Hispanic talent are probably safe for the moment.”
The update also revealed that AAA is still dealing with major visa issues right now, which is reportedly affecting future expansion plans in the United States.
“Still major visa issues going on which is why AAA hasn’t announced any US dates yet, and also why they haven’t announced where the September 11 show is going to be.”
WWE and AAA recently announced that this year’s TripleMania 34 will become the first-ever two-night TripleMania event, taking place September 11 and September 13 in Mexico City.
With AAA reportedly looking for a United States television deal, Alvarez indicated that WWE likely still sees value in keeping Hispanic talent like Angel and Berto around as part of the company’s growing relationship with the Mexican promotion.
So while fans feared the worst after RAW, it sounds like Los Garza may still have a place in WWE’s future plans after all.
Do you think WWE should use Angel Garza and Berto more seriously on television, or have they already missed their best opportunity? Leave your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
