As noted before, WWE has been interested in potentially bringing back Enzo Amore, also known as Real1 and nZo in the indies, and Big Cass, also known as Big Bill in AEW, to the company and reuniting the two as a team. Indies promoters are currently under the assumption Amore will be returning to WWE due to him no longer taking bookings in the future that he regularly would be taking.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials current plan is for Amore to be in NXT soon.
In regards to Big Cass’ status, Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that nothing has been made official nor has his name even been talked about heavily in WWE of late. Meltzer also reported that outside of WWE, there is a lot of talk about his potential return to the company.
Meltzer also compared Big Bill’s current situation in AEW as being similar to Chris Jericho’s situation in 2025 in AEW where just because someone is off television for a long while, it does not necessarily mean that they are on their way out.
No new details were given regarding Big Bill’s current contract status in AEW. Big Bill’s contract is still set to expire in the next few weeks and he has been absent from both AEW and Ring of Honor since this past April.
